Accepting the Liebster Award

Hello all!

My name is Brittany Johnson and I started this blog two days ago and wrote my first post just YESTERDAY! I had a very strong desire to reach as many people as possible. Imagine my surprise, excitement, and disbelief when I was nominated for the Liebster Award the very next day!!

I want to send a huge thank you to Kristie, author of On Mum Days I…

Please show her blog some love:

The Liebster Award is designed for new and upcoming bloggers to build their audience and to welcome them into the community.

So a little about my blog, which I have including in some of my answers below.. I am starting this blog will the purpose of spreading God’s word. Bruce King, a close friend of my husband’s and mine, started a church service called “As You Are” during which he always brings a powerful message. The shorter list would be the one telling which services haven’t rocked me to the core. Because of that, I know that those messages can touch and change the lives of so many people in the world if given the chance. I want my blog to allow those people to hear his messages that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to, in hopes that they reach the ones that need them the most. I want this blog to change lives because of God’s word. I want it to be an avenue of strength and support through the word of God, for anyone willing to read it.

When Kristie nominated me she gave me these questions to answer along with the opportunity to nominate 10 bloggers of my own choosing for the Liebster Award. Here are her questions, along with my answers..

  • What is your goal?

My blog is all about spreading God’s word. I attend a Wednesday night service that a great friend started called “As You Are”. I basically reiterate his messages in my own words on the blog. The goal is to deliver those messages to whoever needs them, providing them an avenue for support.

  • Did blogging come naturally for you?

I have always loved to read. I read everything from shampoo bottles and disclaimers to blogs and whole books in a day’s time. Reading provides me with an escape, a momentary vacation into someone else world. I really think my love of reading is what has made writing so easy for me. I have only posted one blog post so far, and written a couple in anticipation of posting, but I absolutely love it and I believe it really does come natural.

  • Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

In 10 years I see myself having been married for 12 years to a wonderful man name Justin. Hopefully we will have built our dream home and have a couple of children running around. I hope to be a successful mortician by that time and fill all my spare time spreading God’s word on my blog!

  • If you could have dinner with anyone -dead or alive- who would it be?

As much as I would love to do a meet and greet with Jesus, I just don’t know that I could do anything but stare in awe. So as far having dinner with actual conversation… I would have dinner with my mom and her mother. Her mother passed away in a car accident when my mom was 20 years old. At 20 I couldn’t imagine losing my mom, especially not in a way that would prohibit me from having the opportunity to say goodbye. If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be them and not for me, but for my mom to have the opportunity to say goodbye.

  • Who was your inspiration?

My inspiration for life in general and pursuing my dreams is my husband, Justin. My inspiration for this blog is Bruce King.

  • Would you ever step out of your comfort zone?

I am already kind of out of my comfort zone. My comfort zone is behind the books, behind the words, even in the writing. I never thought I would build the courage to publish something for the world to see with my name attached!

  • Would you collab with another blogger?

I do collaborate with someone, two people actually. The Lord and Bruce. Neither of which are bloggers but they have helped me to build this blog and are the reason that I have the honor of accepting this Liebster Award.

  • Do you VLOG on YouTube? If so how many followers do you have?

I do not!

Well that’s it for me folks! Please follow my blog and check back in with me weekly for new posts! If you have any questions about anything you read or just want to drop some encouragement, please feel free to comment!

Now for my nominees! I really wanted only Christian based blogs because I want to build a community of followers so that we can help each other spread the word. All I have picked appear to be Christian based so please follow each other and help each other out!

Once you are nominated, please post on your own blog with your answers to the questions below, your own 10 nominees, and the questions you wish for them to answer.
